The first time that bamboo’s really registered in my mind was back in 1998. My wife and I were on holiday near Aberdeen and visited the Scottish Bamboo nursery run by John and Ann Lenting. The very experience of walking through the many stunning bamboo varieties was quite breathtaking – and basically from that visit the Norfolk Bamboo was established….
The initial nursery was quite modest, but it dove tailed very well with my garden design and landscaping business (Lewis Dyer Landscapes). Bamboos soon formed an established part of my vision and style of garden design, and thus became very much my “trade mark” species.
There is a striking range of species and colour which immediately provides an exotic and very special atmosphere to any garden. In today’s modern world with the increasing number of houses being built and fences erected, there are many dramatic and elegant bamboo forms that can be positioned to immediately soften and add dramatic interest to even a modest sized garden.
The Norfolk Bamboo nursery grows in excess of 30 ornamental bamboo’s, ranging from the dwarf Pygmy Bamboo right through to 30 ft. Timber Bamboo’s, encompassing an amazing choice of shapes, colour and forms...
If you wish to view our range of varieties,or discuss the species in more detail then feel free to call in at the Bamboo Nursery at Snettisham (post code PE31 7QG). Less than 2 miles South of Norfolk Lavender. We are open on Fridays (10am-4pm) and Saturdays (10am-2pm) between April and the end of September – we will be pleased to see you…..
